May Darating Na Pag-ibig: Ang Bandang Shirley World Tour Cebu Leg

Ang Bandang Shirley Visits Cebu for Weekend Tour

Hot on the heels of the milestone 39-karat gold record award for selling 1,000 CDs of their latest album FAVORITE, Ang Bandang Shirley are packing their bags to embark on the Cebu leg of their ongoing world tour, May Darating Na Pag-Ibig.

Ang Bandang Shirley“We’re very excited to perform for the first time in the famed Cebu island group,” says Owel Alvero, occasional singer and extraneous guitar player for Ang Bandang Shirley. “We’ve heard great things about the delicious food and the chill vibe of the queen city of the south, and we’re looking forward to eating and chilling, aside from performing songs from our extensive discography,” adds Joseph Fontanilla, an aspiring food vlogger who also handles lead guitar duties in the band.

The May Darating Na Pag-Ibig: Ang Bandang Shirley World tour has seen the band perform for various audiences from different countries and localities. Their last gig at 70’s Bistro in Quezon City was featured on Japanese filmmaker Kenji Imaki’s Home Video Home project, and recent gigs at Moonleaf Tea Shop on Maginhawa street, as well as Satchmi Store Megamall has demonstrated the band’s determination and DIY-ethic in bringing their live performances to otherwise unconventional locations. This leg of the tour will also be documented in an upcoming tour diary video with AEE cameras and Insta360 through a partnership with Digital Walker.

August 25th will have the band guesting on Monster Radio BT 105.9’s Southside Sounds before a performance at the Cebu Literary Festival at SM Seaside. They will cap off their first night with a stripped-down set at A SPACE Cebu, performing with local acts such as Hey! It’s Your Birthday, Snübear, and Sunday Sunday. On August 26th, the band will grace the stage of Azul Gorordo with Loop, Honeydrop, Deanery, and Red Twin Motel, and on the 27th, they will be featured on Magic 92.3’s Local Vocal.

Naay Gugma Nga Muabot: The Ang Bandang Shirley Cebu leg of the world tour would not be possible without the help of AirAsia, Bomba Live, Wide Eyed Records Manila, Big Hotel, International Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Digital Walker.
